our History

A brief history...

The Paddington Uniting Church building dates back to 1877. After a period of collaboration and discussion between protestant churches in this area, Paddington Uniting Church came into being in 1977. This coincided with the official creation of the Uniting Church nationally and involved the union of most Congregational, Methodist and Presbyterian churches throughout Australia.
